Would spring be a good time for the Circle Tour of Lake Superior?

Would spring be a good time for the Circle Tour of Lake Superior? - Anne, Minneapolis

The weather can be iffy in summer, so you're really  taking your chances in late April and early May. If you're camping, the Ontario parks don't open till May, and there aren't services in other parks till early or mid-May.

There's not much going on in the towns, nor even wildflowers until late May or early June, depending on what kind of spring we have. Trails in parks will be muddy.

If you're trying to avoid crowds, you'd be surprised how few there are through late June Canadian schools don't even get out until then.

Late August and early September also is a good time to go, with no crowds and good weather.

But if you just feel like going on a spring road trip sure, why not?
