There's a party atmosphere as the mushers start Friday night along Fifth Street, with music, food trucks and bonfires. Follow the mushers to the finish in Eagle Harbor or stay in Calumet for the Dog House Races, with teams of seven people.
Celebrate the Year of the Horse in Chinatown with a parade, marching bands and lion dancing. It starts at 1 p.m. at 24th Street and Wentworth Avenue.
