At the Racine Zoo, the all-day Eggstravaganza includes a candy hunt, bounce houses, an egg dig, a dance party, egg- and cookie-decorating, crafts and games.
At the Milwaukee County Zoo, there will be an Easter parade, crafts and, of course, animals.
The American Swedish Institute hosts morning (inside) and afternoon (outside) Easter egg hunts at the 33-room Turnblad Mansion. There will also be crafts, storytelling and Easter tree-decorating. Register by March 9.
The MacKenzie Environmental Center, between the Wisconsin Dells and Madison, offers guided tours of the sugarbush, demonstrations of tapping and syrup-making, and intrepretive talks about how the Ho-Chunk and pioneers made syrup.
Following the hunt for eggs on the lawn of the James J. Hill House on Summit Avenue, there's music, a scavenger hunt, basket-decorating and Victorian-era kids' crafts. Reserve morning or afternoon sessions in advance.
