    This big festival celebrates its 90th year with a sand-castle contest, water fights, ship-building (in less than 30 minutes), beer tasting, watermelon feed, bike tour and more. On the last day, there's a big parade at 1 p.m.

  3. Sinclair Lewis Days

    Sauk Centre, MN2026-07-16

    The hometown of the Nobel Prize-winning author celebrates with such events as turtle races, bicycle stunts, Friday fireworks, a craft fair, music and a parade Saturday.

  4. Bavarian Blast

    New Ulm, MN2026-07-16

    In addition to German music, food and beer, this festival at the Brown County Fair Grounds features stein-holding, barrel-rolling and sauerkraut-eating contests, plus a Sunday parade.

  5. Paperfest

    Kimberly, WI2026-07-16

    This Fox Cities town celebrates its heritage with toilet-paper tosses, lawn games, human foosball, a firefighter tug of war and 35 bands on three stages in Sunset Park.

  6. Country Thunder Wisconsin Music Festival

    Twin Lakes, WI2026-07-16

    The country-music festival between Lake Geneva and Kenosha features Keith Urban, Riley Green and the Red Clay Strays. There's camping onsite.

  7. Lumberjack World Championships

    Hayward, WI2026-07-16

    You can't see this kind of thing just anywhere: cut-throat log rolling, boom running, springboard chopping and speed climbing.

  8. Rock Fest

    Cadott, WI2026-07-16

    More than 80 bands perform on five stages at this outdoor festival near Chippewa Falls. Headliners include The Offspring, Limp Bizkit and Gojira. There's onsite camping.

  9. Country Jam

    Eau Claire, WI2026-07-16

    Jordan Davis, Riley Green and Koe Wetzel are  among the headliners of this fest. There's camping on-site.

  10. Rivertown Days

    Hastings, MN2026-07-16

    In this river town south of St. Paul, there will be 25 bands on four stages, plus a carnival, arts & crafts fair and classic-car show.

  11. Water Days

    New London, MN2026-07-16

    In this lakes town near Sibley State Park, there's a water-ski show, parade, kids' fishing derby and fireworks.
